NISO Approves Trust Markers Working Group
The National Information Standards Organization (NISO) has approved the creation of a new working group tasked with developing a framework for identifying trust markers in scholarly content. The framework is intended to help readers assess the credibility of published research. NISO is seeking members from across the information community.
Scite Brings Peer-Reviewed Citations to Claude AI
Scite is now a verified connector in the Claude directory, allowing users to ground Claude's answers in peer-reviewed literature instead of generic web content. Smart Citations show whether each finding has been supported or contradicted by other research.
New Dataset Connects bioRxiv Preprints to Publications
The PreprintToPaper dataset lets researchers analyze over 145 thousand bioRxiv preprints and their journal versions. Applications include tracking publication delays, studying textual changes between preprints and articles, and comparing pre-pandemic (2016–2022) and pandemic (2020–2022) patterns.
Dryad Data Publishing Now Covers bioRxiv and medRxiv
Originally launched with bioRxiv in September 2025, the integration now covers medRxiv. Authors posting preprints to either server can upload research data directly to Dryad, where it is checked against FAIR principles (findable, accessible, interoperable, reusable).
