About

The Hub for Integrity and Knowledge Exchange (HIKE) is dedicated to advancing research integrity through constructive dialogue.

🤝 Our Community

This space allows subscribing members and contributors to share experiences and resources, seek advice, and collaboratively address challenges in research practice.

📋 Topics

The forum is organized by topic to keep discussions focused and easy to navigate. Topics include research ethics, methodology, data management, open research practices, reproducibility, science communication and responsible conduct of research, among others, as the forum grows. Select a topic when you post.

✍️ Posts

All members may open discussions by posting, and all members may participate by commenting on the posts of others. SIA also invites specialists from its network to open discussions on particular topics. Posts may take many forms, including case studies, ethical dilemma scenarios and resource sharing, and work best when they invite a range of perspectives rather than provide definitive answers. Full details on writing posts, attributing images, and linking to SIA content can be found in the HIKE Forum Posting Guidelines.

💬 Comments

All members are welcome to comment. Posts and comments alike must be on topic, respectful, evidence-informed, and free from promotional content, personal criticism, discriminatory language, misinformation and confidentiality breaches. References to commercial tools are welcome where genuinely relevant to the discussion and any personal or professional connection to the tool is disclosed. Comments can be edited after posting, but the edit history remains visible to everyone who can see the comment. Please check your text before you post.

🛡️ Moderation

Posts and comments appear immediately. Automated spam screening applies to both, and the moderation team reviews content after publication. Anything that does not meet the standards above may be removed. Where the issue can be addressed, members are welcome to revise and post again. In cases involving defamation, discriminatory language or serious confidentiality breaches, SIA may ask a member not to repost. Repeated breaches may lead to restrictions on posting or removal from the forum, as set out in the Terms of Use. To report content, use the three-dot menu or contact contactus@sci-integrity.com. If you believe moderation has been applied incorrectly to your own content, contact editorial@sci-integrity.com.
