Nominate a local grassroots initiative to be featured in REACH!
🚀 We're launching a new section in REACH magazine called Community, dedicated to showcasing grassroots initiatives started by individuals, lab groups, or local communities to address specific research integrity challenges in their context.
👀 We're looking for initiatives like local networks, peer-learning groups, reproducibility clubs, discussion groups, or any community-led effort that others can join, adapt, or replicate.
📖 Each selected initiative will receive a dedicated piece in REACH that tells its story: what it does, what it has achieved, and how others can get involved.
🌟 Do you know a grassroots initiative that deserves more visibility? Please share a name, a brief description, and a link, if available.
To be eligible, initiatives should be grassroots in origin, active within the past 12 months, non-commercial, open to participation or replication in other regions and contexts, and aligned with SIA's mission.
Looking forward to your nominations!

CQUATRE presents two practical manuals for scientific communication with integrity: This is a great initiative! I’d also like to flag a related grassroots effort from Catalonia, which may be a useful example for the Community section.
Alongside my involvement with REACH, I collaborate with a task force group at the Catalan Association of Scientific Communication (ACCC) focused on scientific policy working in collaboration with the Catalan Parliament. As part of this work, we have recently published new research integrity best-practice guidelines for science communication: :https://www.accc.cat/2026/02/03/el-cquatre-presenta-dos-manuals-practics-per-a-una-comunicacio-cientifica-amb-integritat/
Given the catalan context, a relatively small research and communication ecosystem, this kind of community-driven effort shows how research integrity initiatives can be developed, tested, and sustained at a local level, with potential relevance for other small or regional communities globally.
Happy to share more details if useful.
